Uncontrolled intersection Archived1 Elm Street Somerville, MA - SomervilleCars and bike routinely ignore the "local traffic only" sign here, and it's unclear who has the right of way when merging onto Elm St from Somerville Ave. Maybe a Stop, Yield, or Do Not Enter sign is needed.

Cars parking in bike lane Archived444 Somerville Ave Somerville, MA 02143, USA - SomervilleLove the new bike lanes on Somerville Ave. However, people have decided that it's ok to park in the bike lane in front of MAACO for some reason. And no one is enforcing the No Parking signs there. Please clear the bike lane!

Unmarked lane reduction ArchivedRoute 28 Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - East Cambridge
The ramp onto 28S from Somerville Avenue drops a lane with no warning. At this location, the line marking on 28S indicates two lanes, and the line markings on the onramp indicate two lanes. After the onramp meets 28 though, there's only 3 lanes.
It looks like the onramp should be marked as a single lane.

Traffic light does not change Archived462 Somerville Avenue Somerville, MA 02145, USA - Somerville
The behavior of the new light at Somerville and Dane is not right.
I was driving eastbound on Somerville Avenue on Monday morning at 2am. Somerville Ave had a red light, but the light did not change for over 60 seconds.
If the light is activated by sensors, perhaps the eastbound sensor is broken (there were no westbound vehicles while I was there).

40 Cambridge St. Boston, MA 02127, USA - Central
Anyone who's ever driven down Cambridge Street knows that there will always be at least one car double-parked in the right lane. Can the city please work on a solution here?
Given that it's right across from the BPD, and there's never a time when there's NOT a double-parked vehicle, maybe requesting enforcement isn't practical.
Maybe the city can remove some of the parking spaces on Cambridge Street to create loading zones?

134 Hampshire St Cambridge, MA - CambridgeOleana receives their deliveries in the early to mid-morning. When making deliveries, the trucks consistently park or double-park in the car and/or bike travel lanes rather than finding a spot off of the road. Enforcement by police is needed, as well as perhaps a signed loading zone.

Unmarked road contruction Archived15 Elm Street Somerville, MA 02145, USA - SomervilleLast night (7/12) a 40' section of Elm Street was torn up for construction. There was no signage for the construction, or for the resulting grooved pavement or potentially-damaging lips on the pavement.

Useless sign placement ArchivedMassachusetts 38 Somerville, MA 02145, USA - SomervilleThe placement of the sign indicating which lane is for 93 north and 93 south is located well past the split. The sign only helps you diagnose a wrong turn, not prevent it. The sign should be moved to at least the front of the island.

pothole Archived38 Beacon Street Somerville, MA 02145, USA - SomervilleRight edge of road, SE-bound side.

Pothole around manhole cover Archived400 Somerville Ave Somerville, MA 02143, USA - SomervilleThis is in the alley off of Dane St that leads to Market Basket. There's a manhole cover where the asphalt has crumbled away from the cover, leaving a ring-like pothole.

Bike Parking Needed Archived624 Somerville Ave Somerville, MA 02143, USA - SomervilleThere's no bike parking anywhere near here (Seabra foods, Papa Johns, etc). Can a bike rack or posts be installed here?

140 Broadway Cambridge, MA 02138, USA - The Port
The railroad tracks that cross Broadway stick up at least 1-2" above the road surface. The problem is larger in the right lanes. These can cause damage to auto and bicycle tires and wheels.
You can see this in these Google Maps street views:

Unmarked lane reduction Archived101 Monsignor Obrien Hwy Cambridge, MA - East CambridgeEastbound on 28/Obrien Highway. Before passing under the T tracks, there are three lanes with arrows indicating that they travel under the T tracks. However, there seems to be only two lanes of space available under the T tracks (marked in red on the picture).
